Dear Family,
Well it sounds as if things are in full swing now and that everyone is working hard. How are you Dad? Have you started working at CAL again? Boy that was a shocker when I read that it had burned down.
I just received a letter today that was sent the 17th of August. I don't know why some of them take so long.
So football is starting for Lorin & Tommy. That's great! I would really like to hear how they are doing a if there is anything in the paper about either of them I would really like to have a copy of the article so I could see how they are doing.
Last Monday I had a chance to play some football myself. All the elders an some of our seventies met at North Pole for a game of flag football. I really had a good time. We played for about 2-3 hours and that morning we played about the same of b-ball. So by the end of the day I could hardly walk. I still can't because I am so sore. It is really funny to see all the elders walking around like a bunch of old men.
Elder Kroneberger is a lot like me in that he is very competitive and every once in awhile we get into an all-out wrestling match. He is a little bigger but we are really close when it comes to wrestling. He is an all around just like Lorin and loves to play line backer and loves to hit! So we are getting along very well.
Plus we make a heck of a team when we are out doing missionary work and last week was probably one of my better weeks. Carol Rousch and her husband Dave we have been working with for a long time and a couple weks ago w (as I have probably already told you) got Carol out to church and she has been coming since then. Last Sun. she attended her first testimony meeting and it was very good. I'm sure she was touched because she had wet eyes. For the closing song we sang, "I know that my redeemer lives" and she was just bawling, it was great!! So that afternoon we talked with her and challenged her for baptism. I knew she wanted to be baptized about a week ago but we had to take time to see if we could get her husband to come along, but he doesn't want to make any commitments. So we challenged her and got the date set for the 9th of October. I know that that is a long time but her husband is leaving town for a few weeks and we want to wait to have it when he can be there. She is a great lady and I know she has a testimony of the church and that is what she wants. I know that Elder Kroneberger and I were the ones that made a difference because she has been seeing the missionaries for 2 years and finally has felt the Holy Ghost. I'm not trying to boast but I know that the Lord is blessing us for our efforts.
Like I said before, I love what I am doing and I know that it is right
I love you all, Elder Daren Wilding
