Anchorage March 15, 1983

Dear Family,
Boy that was sure a quick reply, I had just sent off my letter and the next day i got a letter from almost everyone in the family.
Yesterday the branch pres and his first counselor took us out to Kobuk Lake ice fishing. What they have done is they have made an ice road to Noowik and Kivalina and what that is is a road made right on the ocean bya bulldozer. Anyhow when we got out there things were pretty slow but started to pick up just before we left. I caught 4 shee fish between 15-20 lbs a piece. It was a great experience!
Things otherwise have been pretty slow, we went out tracting and like all the other times came up with nothing. So we have been concentrating more on working with the public in other ways, like our volunteer work at the hospital. We aren't folding laundry anymore we are working in medical records now and pretty soon they might have us in the operating room. (haha)
Another thing that we are going to start up again is the wrestling program, yes ours truly who doesn't know a thing about wrestling is going to be coaching 5th & 6th graders! My comp knows how to wrestle so he is going to be a big help!
One of the members in the branch has met a family that has recently visited the visitors center and were really impressed with it.
I guess they have a lot of views that are similar to ours so I am excited to meet them and to be able to share the gospel with them. We are going to be introduced this Friday.
