Nome December 8, 1982

Dear Family,
By the tie you get this letter Mark will be married and mom and dad's anniversary will be over.  I wanted so much to get both of you a card or something but there aren't too many places here in toown that have things like that and those that did, didn't have that many. So I guess I just have to wish the best for all of you in this letter.
Well there hasn't been too many exciting things happen to me this week. Just doing the same ol' stuff. One thing that happened was that Sue Greenly, the one that we have been helping score the games, took us out for lunch and then bought us each something from the Eskimos. I got an ivory ring that has a seal carved in it. We also spend Thanksgiving with her and her husband. They are super nice people and I would like to see them become members.
This week has been  a clear, cold one, we were lucky to see it up to 0' most of the time it was between -5' and -10'. How cold has it been down there?
President Papa is flying in today to talk with Elder Morrison and I and to see how things are going. He is visiting all the Elders out in the bush. I'll tell you what happens in my next letter.
Best of luck and congrats! I Love you, Elder Daren
ps Is Dad working on Christmas? When is he working? I need to know in your next letter.
