Dear Family,
First off, I would like to say Happy Birtday to my little sister! So how old are you going to be? 12 or 13? (I joke)
It sure sounds like the family is doing alright except for the flu. I kind of had a touch of the flue also. We are doing volunteer work at the hospital and they stuck us with folding laundry, anyhow after we put in our few hours they treated us to a lunch. I'm sure most of you have tasted hospital food and this last week they even had the nerve to serve liver! Well that was just about enough, but later on that day one of the members fed us liver also. I just had to grit my teeth and act like I was enjoying it. We only work at the hospital 2 days out of the week but still we meet a lot of people that way.
Elder Hartshorn, Tom Craig and I put on the Sacrament meeting last Sunday and it went great! Each one of us had a little something to do, and the whole meeting was based around missionary work. I had a member discussion that I had picked up somewhere and we based everything around that discussion because it really gets the members fired up. Afterwards we had some very pleasant comments. Hopefully things will start to happen now in this branch.
It has really been hot here the past couple of days, I could hardly wear my parka, in fact, it got all the way past 0'!
Well, take care!
Love, Daren
