Dear Family,
Thanks so much for the cards, all I've got to do now is find some people to give them to!
That was really neat to hear you did well in your track meet Lorin. It surprised me to hear that Stan Vogt is your coach and that he said something nice about you. Have you had any troubles?
This week things have kind of opened up to us. We had a discussion with a lady and the spirit was really strong in our meeting and before we left we invited her to be baptized. She said that she needed to study more and pray so I wasn't going to push it. But she knows it is true and she even came to church Sunday and would come every Sunday if it were not for her work. I also found out she has a Catholic boyfriend and she doesn't want to make waves, so this would slow her down a bit. But with the Lord's help she will be baptized.
Boy the weather sure has been nice for the last week, it almost makes me want to just walk around i my suit and forget my parka. I was just thinking today that I have been wearing that parka for approx. 6 months straight and it would be nice to leave it home every now and then. Plus all of the Eskimos are walking around with wind breakers and tennis shoes and here I am with this huge parka that comes down to my knees and looks almost like a dress! But I'm not crazy! There are so many people walking around that have been frost bit several times and I'm not one of them.
Well I sure enjoy your letters, it kinda keeps me informed.
Take care and Tom I didn't forget your birthday, you will be getting a card if I can find one.
Love, Daren
