Dear Family,
So there is going to be another artist in the family? Thank you John for those pictures that you drew me, I really like them.
Things are starting to work out a little better for me, now that I know who I am working wtih and what's going on. Right at first I really had a hard time because both of us were new to the area and we didn't know anyone or what we could be doing.
The town is small so we are trying to get involved with the community. So far we are coaching our own kids basketball team, plus playing on Ak Gold which is the community basketball program and we know the lady that is in charge of all the community events and she said that she could keep us busy. So hopefully something will turn out because of our involvement.
Yes I have all of my winter gear and it's a lucky thing too because last night a storm blew in and it started to snow and blow and I could hardly see. When it blows here it really blows and there are no trees to block it either. Nome is right on the sea shore and all around is nothing but flat ground. Sound exciting?!
But there are people for us to meet and to baptize so that always keeps me going.
